Tales of Ordinary Madness
On Air: Featured-shows 7.00-9.00pm
The show will be presented by Seán Crossey who’s been part of the Manchester music scene for almost a quarter of a century, in which time he's promoted Hip Hop, Soul and Funk nights (giving now established acts their very first shows as well as leading acts of the time) in and around the city, as well as deejaying, writing music reviews for various sites and running his own successful music PR business High Violet PR & Plugging (and before that Blue Soap). Seán has worked with some of the biggest names in the business including Sinéad O'Connor, The Sugarhill Gang, Kool Keith and Mick Jones as well as countless other amazing upcoming artists. Tales of Ordinary Madness takes its name from a Charles Bukowski book of short stories and is a strictly vinyl-only show, with records taken from Seán's vast and extremely eclectic collection. Expect to hear Funk and Soul sitting alongside Balearic House, Hip Hop, Psychedelia, Dub Reggae, Spiritual Jazz, and anything in between. Seán will be joined weekly by his good friend Brendan Hegarty, who will be producing the show and chatting about whatever may be happening in the world as well as what's going on in and around Manchester that week. There will also be guests stopping by to play their favourite records and the odd live performance so stay tuned for more info.
